Dropped Character List
In reading this page, we are presuming that you have already taken a look at the Active Character List.
There are some characters who have been in Haven before, but have been dropped. For the most part, this is because the player is no longer interested in continuing with the game. These characters were removed from Haven and 'sent home', their memories of the Haven blocked so that they could continue with their lives. If they are brought back to Haven through your application, you will have the choice of having their memories brought back, or not.
If you choose to have their memories brought back, you will be expected to review the scenes in the memories that the character participated in previously, and deal with the consequences not only of their sudden absence from Haven, but of their actions before. If your interpretation of the character is very different from the previous player's, we recommend that you allow their memories to remain blocked. They will be from a slightly different, but similar world, than the previous version of the character.
The previous journal used by that character is listed to give you a chance to look at some of what has gone on before. The majority of the interaction you'll have to read will be in the memories for the game. If your application for a previously-taken character is accepted, you will still have to make a new journal, as we don't have the passwords for the old ones.
If you choose not to take one of these characters, don't forget to also check the NPC list to make sure that the character you want is not an NPC. NPCs are not applied for, but must be granted by an agreement between yourself and the moderators. They are only given out for plot purposes. NPCs generally don't live in Haven, and will be played only when needed.
